About

Hey there! My name is Brooke – a Nebraska-grown girl who spent 19 wonderful years in the Black Hills of South Dakota and is now in Central Oregon. What can I say? Photography has always been something that fascinates me. I love that it is an art form with all kinds of rules that can be broken. It takes a lot of practice to get great compositions and beautiful light to come together for awesome images that make people feel good about themselves.

That’s what I’ve been doing for many years, practicing and studying light, the camera, and post-processing techniques to make people look their very best. I work hard to get images right in camera, keeping the post-processing to a minimum. This results in images that are timeless with a brilliant, bold punch! No worrying about this year’s trends. Your images will look just as great in 50 years as they do today. I want you to love your images every time you crack open that album and share.

Really, though, you came here to learn more about me. I really love to hike and explore. When I was young, old barns and creek beds in Nebraska were the most interesting places I could find to “discover”. My time in Central Oregon has led me to some beautiful rocky outlooks, super blue waters, lengthy coastlines, dazzling waterfalls, and dense forests. I love all of that – and, yes, I still find old barns and creek beds super interesting! It’s amazing what you can find when you look close and take in whatever surrounds you. Grasses swaying in the breeze with nothing but a bright blue sky overhead can be intriguing when you take the time to really enjoy the moment.

If you follow me on social, you’ll probably find me posting stories about cooking, wildflowers, my dogs, or my feathered flock. These are all part of my daily life that bring me happiness when I can’t be out exploring.
